From RLF Archives: This photograph shows the billboard located at La Cienega Blvd. and Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. The artist unveiled it on April 13, 1967. Foster and Kleiser Outdoor Advertising produced the 30-sheet posters as a donation to the Pasadena Art Museum. Foster and Kleiser is now Clear Channel Outdoor.

From Other Archives and Repositories: These four sheets are likely archival material left over from the production of five billboard posters announcing Lichtenstein's solo show at the Pasadena Art Museum in 1967. The sheets were in the collection of Diana Zlotnick, Los Angeles, auctioned at Los Angeles Modern Auctions, Los Angeles, May 3, 2022, lot 188, and sold to COCO Artfoundation, Vaduz, Liechtenstein. They were exhibited (glued together) at the Albertina in Vienna in 2024.

Five large scale posters on billboards reproduced this painting to announce the artist's solo exhibition, 1967 Pasadena, Calif., Pasadena Art Museum. In the European travelling retrospective that year, 1967 Amsterdam Stedelijk, a billboard was included as part of the exhibition. See Archival Material.
